New Project, Continued

These two extremely busy maps are those of a world, which unfortunately doesn’t have a name yet. Basically, the purple lines are a huge, impassable mountain range. Nothing can possible get through it. Ever. Also, the seas to the north are stormy and covered in dark clouds pretty much all the time. Therefore, the only real way for the kingdoms on the east and west to communicate is through the relatively calm gulf to the south. However, that’s not going to happen soon. You’ll see why.

The East is a huge desert. This is because weather blowing across the sea comes from the west, and the mountains catch the clouds and rip them open like Christmas presents. The West is a relatively fertile grassland because they get all the weather. The two sides, separated as they are, know nothing about one another. This is bad, because it causes incredibly bloody wars between the two, and cultural differences only ever get worse.

The plot of the RPG is this: a young, up-and-coming mage from Ansalac (the city in the far north, ruled by a class of magi) is transported by political rivals into the East, somehow, and has to find his way back. That’s all for now, because I have school in a day and if I don’t sleep I will probably die.
